CHEMICAL
PEELS

Chemical solutions are applied to the skin; exfoliating tired, lacklustre skin cells and breaking the bonds between damaged cells and the fresh, healthy cells residing beneath the skin's surface.
Chemical peels play a pivotal role in skincare by facilitating skin exfoliation, initiating the natural healing response, and stimulating collagen synthesis. Collagen is the main ingredient to maintaining that plump, healthy, and youthful skin we all love!
This process ultimately reveals a revitalised, smoother complexion with diminished wrinkles and reduced skin damage.

Chemical Peels come in different strengths depending on what your skin goals are. At Authenticity we carry an array of Chemical Peels to suit your individual concern.

What Do Chemical Peels Treat?
Practically everything!
Chemical peels are impressively versatile and can effectively address a multitude of skin concerns. Including acne, acne scarring, pigmentation, sun damage, melasma, ageing, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, skin texture and even dry and dull skin.
Do Chemical Peels Hurt?
The level of discomfort experienced during a chemical peel can vary depending on several factors, including the type and strength of the peel and your individual pain tolerance. Most clients report a mild tingling sensation that subsides relatively quickly.
How Many Peels Will I Need?
Again this varies on an individual basis. However, for optimal results, it is recommended to undergo a series of 3 to 6 skin peel treatments, spaced approximately 2 to 4 weeks apart. This tailored approach allows for gradual improvement.
What Is The Downtime?
After a skin peel treatment, you may experience peeling, redness, and skin tightness or dryness for about 7 to 10 days. These are normal post-treatment effects and can be managed with proper skincare and aftercare guidance.
